First, choose a digital ID provider.

You can find a list of providers who meet government set standards at this website address.

Speaker: Follow their instructions, which could be downloading their app from the App Store or Google Play.

Then follow the prompts to enter your details.

You will set up your Digital ID to either a basic, standard, or strong level, depending on what service you're accessing and the level of security needed.

The higher the level needed, the harder it is for someone to pretend to be you.

For example, you don't want to make it easy for someone to access your personal accounts.

For a standard Digital ID, you need to verify at least two documents, like a driver's license and a Medicare card

To create a strong Digital ID you'll also use biometric verification simply by taking a selfie. And once verified, your photo is deleted unless you say otherwise.
